Denver Dress Up presents its first installation of Model Spotlight. Get to know local and national models through this fun, rapid fire Q&A session! I am kicking it off with Denver model, Megan Dujardin. This young hopeful in the modeling industry is working hard to make her dreams of appearing major publications come true. But let’s not forget that models are people too. Megan’s modeling shows that she can be the motocross tomboy as easily as bringing on the vava voom. Keep reading for some exclusive info on her current modeling career and essential tips for those in the industry!
Megan, how long have you been modeling and how did you get involved in this industry?
I have been modeling for two years. I got involved in the industry through being in dance classes. I modeled for a dance magazine in Colorado Springs and that is when I loved it.
Sometimes models will have to do their own hair and makeup for a photo shoot. What are your must-have, on-the-job makeup essentials?
My biggest thing to have is eyeliner and mascara. I’m a big fan of bold dramatic eyes. So any shoot those are allowed, I love doing my make-up.
You obviously have a great physique, what do you do to stay in shape?
Lately just running and my job keeps me thin. Waiting tables is hard work, I promise. Also eating right, carrots and celery in place of potato chips. Cereal in the place of a donut. My favorite, which I got off of pinterest, is a banana sliced down the middle, horizontally, with jelly in the middle. Quite the snack. Also, drink one cup of water an hour.
Everybody has one! We are dying to know, what is your most embarrassing model moment?
Probably wobbling on the runway. At Ultra Sheer Nightclub, their runway was less than a foot wide, so it made it quite difficult.

What is the one thing you recommend every model know how to do? Is hair, is it makeup, is it having a great smile?
How to talk to people. Make everyone feel comfortable. Basically, socialize and don’t act like you dislike the world. Networking.
If you could work with any designer in the world, who would it be?
Probably H&M. They have a variety of cute styles with modern flair. At an affordable price!
What is the next project or photo shoot that you will be working on where we can see your work?
I’m doing an upcoming photoshoot with Jenn LeBlanc for the cover of her romance novel. You can find it on amazon. Not sure when it will be out though.
Where will we see you in 5 years?
Hopefully in Vogue or Elle in a Gucci or Louis Vuitton ad.
Finally, and most importantly, how can people contact you for booking?!
Through my agency NXT/Model and through my personal website and facebook page.
Thank you Megan! Denver Dress Up is so happy to have you as the first participant in the newest edition of Model Spotlight. Stay tuned everyone. There is more of this to come!
