Tuesday evening Denver Dress Up (uh, just me) had the great pleasure of joining Denver swimwear designer, Jeanele Ortega, and photographer, Emily Brown, for a mini collaboration. Jeanele is in the process of launching her Jus Honey swimwear line—although, she has been designing for years—and Emily is a wedding photographer who is looking to delve into the world of fashion photography. Bringing these two together was a perfect match!
We met at The Westin Hotel and had the beautiful downtown Denver skyline as our backdrop. Joining us were three local models and a few crew people (I pretty much just sat around and ate the snacks…I was put to good work). The fourth floor pool was quiet; we had a few visitors. Mostly some men, and boys, who kept reappearing to get a sneak peek at our gorgeous models. We had a bout with an evening sprinkle but once the clouds cleared we were all faced with the most beautiful sunset with colors of burning oranges and pinks. It was absolutely breathtaking.
As usual, Jeanele never fails to deliver. Her designs were classic, sexy, original and vintage prep. She is dedicated to her craft and with her work ethic and integrity, she can only move forward in her emerging career. I am a huge fan of not only the Jus Honey brand but the person behind it.
Here are some shots that I took while
sitting around hard at work. As soon as the professional photos have been edited I will have them posted here and provide a link to Emily’s website for full viewing. Enjoy!
Contact Jeanele through her facebook page for all inquiries regarding purchases and custom orders.

Props…It was really just grapefruit juice.
I just saw a few photos Emily took with the sunset in the background. Jaw dropping! Can’t wait to show you.
