Mighty Karma pop-shop

Mighty Karma pop-shop

I think I go to this market nearly every year. Great designers, unique gifts, all local, and they even have activities to keep your little rugrats busy (always a plus in my book). Don’t forget to support local Denver vendors by visiting the Fashion Denver Holiday Market

This Sunday…be there…or else I will buy everything and leave nothing for you.

Tis the season for shopping local! There are plenty of great events going on this holiday season. If you go to the mall, everyone else will be buying that same sweater and that same piece of jewelry. Why not “wow” gift-receiver with something no one else will have?! Visit these shops for lots and lots of locally-made-uber-cool-more-economically-sustainable gift ideas this weekend.

I found this link of Top Denver Fashion Blogs on Brandi Shigley’s page and had myself a good read. Thank you CBS Denver for featuring little ol’ me! I’m in some pretty awesome company.

One of the best highlights of blogging: meeting Mondo and his lust-worthy hair!

Blogging is only good if you can be yourself. This can be especially hard in fashion blogging (just google “personal style blog”). The real me is quite spaztic, sarcastic, loves to shop, but mostly loves to bake, eat and run, and I kinda like to tell it how it is. When I started this blog it was a great outlet for me. I thought the concept was unique and I hadn’t seen many others like it in the area (way ahead of the game, right? ok not really). After getting my feet wet, I learned a lot along the way. Some great things, some not so great things. And as much as I would like to have one last public vent session, I think anyone in this industry in this city knows what I am talking about. It can be rough. There are some great talents in all aspects, there are some not so great talents. And that’s ok. If we were all the best, we wouldn’t be that cool. But people should be treated fairly, compensated for their talents appropriately, and try to come together if they really want to see Denver thrive. Not everyone is going to make it to NYFW and our city probably won’t be the next big fashion hub, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it really kick ass, right?

The truth is, this blog didn’t allow me to be authentic.

Marfa, TX

A friend of mine once told me about this place. It’s so strange and next time I’m home I’m road tripping out for a peek.
