One of the best highlights of blogging: meeting Mondo and his lust-worthy hair!
Blogging is only good if you can be yourself. This can be especially hard in fashion blogging (just google “personal style blog”). The real me is quite spaztic, sarcastic, loves to shop, but mostly loves to bake, eat and run, and I kinda like to tell it how it is. When I started this blog it was a great outlet for me. I thought the concept was unique and I hadn’t seen many others like it in the area (way ahead of the game, right? ok not really). After getting my feet wet, I learned a lot along the way. Some great things, some not so great things. And as much as I would like to have one last public vent session, I think anyone in this industry in this city knows what I am talking about. It can be rough. There are some great talents in all aspects, there are some not so great talents. And that’s ok. If we were all the best, we wouldn’t be that cool. But people should be treated fairly, compensated for their talents appropriately, and try to come together if they really want to see Denver thrive. Not everyone is going to make it to NYFW and our city probably won’t be the next big fashion hub, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it really kick ass, right?
The truth is, this blog didn’t allow me to be authentic.
